Teens and women are invited to select up to three gowns from Project Self-Sufficiency’s extensive collection of formal wear at the agency’s “Gown Giveaway” on Thursday, May 19th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. New and gently-used dresses suitable for weddings, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, proms, parties or any other formal occasion are available, along with accessories like shoes, wraps and purses. The Gown Giveaway is free and open to the public. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
